Like others with a similar spiritual constitution, I have a driving passion to be at the center of God’s most important work in our world today. This motivates me to seek the best of God and life, and to pursue His will and purpose for myself and for the collective commons.
People who enlist in the forefront of God’s end-time work have an insatiable hunger for His presence. They are dissatisfied with religious facades, an exterior projection of success for the sake of it, and meaningless activity. They possess a raw and pure desire to live for a purpose bigger than themselves, and for deeper experiences of His presence and power. Many saints of old, especially devoted worshippers and world-changers, wrote about this singularly propelling pursuit.1
“That I may know HIM (His person and presence FIRST …), and the power of His resurrection, and the participation of His sufferings, being made like Him in death ….” … “I gave up all that inferior stuff so I could know Christ personally, experience His resurrection power, be a partner in His suffering, and go all the way with Him to death itself” 2

I consider cutting-edge living to be a life dedicated to superior pursuits. This means seeking intimacy with God and centrality in His purpose above all else.3 We prioritize making Him known by dispensing His mercy, benevolence, ingenuity, and solutions to others’ problems. We do this through our gifts, skills, vocation, and other platforms of service. Cutting-edge living cuts through the chase of mediocrity, paltry excuses, and bottom-of-the-barrel thinking. It aligns our motives, aspirations, and psyche to our God-given Manual for Living – the Bible.
We cannot be on the cutting edge of God’s end-time move and concurrently live on the borderlands or outer cusps of compromise, corruption, carnality, camouflage, or the conundrum of sin’s captivity. The urgency of our times requires an unrelenting stance against all of these. Only then can we become and remain a relevant force of impact and eminence in God’s plan. This is true whether on the frontlines of bustling battlegrounds and prominent platforms, or at the backsides of destiny-defining deserts and the Secret Place of His Presence.

In a world teeming with innovative advancements and technological feats, no one who desires relevance in life and destiny can afford to get left behind in God’s age-old, yet ever-contemporary mission. He invites us to partner with Him in the most state-of-the-art enterprise of all time,4 pressing into the race5 for the ultimate prize6 as we do so. We must actively engage in this adventure of a lifetime – accurately representing Him in the rescue of a lost, confused, defaced, and de-identified world and generation – by opening our hearts to Jesus and offering ourselves, our gifts, and our services to Him; living solely for His purposes and rewards!7
“… It’s more important for me to fulfill my destiny and to finish the ministry my Lord Jesus has assigned to me, which is to faithfully preach the wonderful news of God’s grace.”… “But that matters little. What matters most to me is to finish what God started: the job the Master Jesus gave me of letting everyone I meet know all about this incredibly extravagant generosity of God.”8
