“All eyes are riveted on her as she walks majestically down the aisle with unmatched poise and grace. Her dress shines with elegance and grandeur, its expertly tailored layers flattering her striking figure. The clever design of fine linen within flawless silk is unmarked by any spot, wrinkle, or imperfection, enveloping her in a gentle sway of luminosity with every dignified step. She radiates such pure splendor that her audience stands transfixed, captivated by her presence and entranced by her alluring fragrance.”
Although it sounds straight out of the pages of a happily-ever-after romance novel, this description is the actual and imminent depiction of all lovers of Jesus who have responded to His romantic advances, are officially engaged to Him, and have aligned themselves with His distinguished purpose for their lives! These are the collective Emergents and Resurgents who are wholeheartedly gathering at the great Convergence during which Heaven’s astonishing plans are being revealed in the illustrious Divulgence! They are individuals who follow hard after Him1 and consistently assemble with like-hearted people2 with a shared fervency and determination to fully establish His plan and purposes on earth!3
Friend, this resplendent bride is YOU (regardless of your gender or marital status)! God’s Word, His eternal love letter to you, is replete with allusions to this truth …
“… to present her to Himself in all her glorious beauty, splendor, and radiance, pure and faultless … I will make you a majestic, eternal excellence, a joy of many generations … Kings will see you, rise to their feet – the princes, too – and then fall on their faces in homage, because of God, who has faithfully kept His word. The Holy One of Israel has chosen you …” 4
With such a display of handsome chivalry, selfless sacrifice, and superlative stateliness, it is no wonder His besotted bride’s effusive response is as ardent as it is resounding …
“My heart is on fire, boiling over with passion! Bubbling up within me are these beautiful lyrics as a lovely poem to be sung for the King! Like a river bursting its banks, I’m overflowing with words, spilling out into this sacred story …! … Beautiful! Beautiful! Beyond the sons of men! Elegant grace pours out through every word You speak! Truly, God has anointed You, His favored One, for eternity! Now strap your lightning-sword of judgment upon Your side, O mighty warrior, so majestic! … In Your glory and grandeur, go forth in victory! Through Your faithfulness and meekness, the cause of truth and justice will stand. Awe-inspiring miracles are accomplished by Your power, leaving everyone dazed and astonished! You are full of beauty and splendor as You go out to war! … Your glory-kingdom, O God, endures forever, for You are enthroned to rule with a justice-scepter in Your hand! … You are passionate for righteousness, and You hate lawlessness. This is why God, Your God, crowns You with bliss above all other and lower kings! He has anointed You, more than any other, with His oil of fervent joy, the very fragrance of heaven’s gladness! Your royal robes release the scent of suffering love for your bride; the fragrance of aromatic incense is upon you!”5
The Bridegroom counters with a culmination of avowed eminence and glory …
“You will be a stunning crown held high for all to see in the hand of your God, a royal tiara of splendor in the palm of His open hand.” … Therefore, “Arise, shine, for your light has come …”6

“In the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways, so that we may walk in His paths.”7
