We Have It Backwards

Oftentimes, we want to influence God (by applying the pressure of prayer), change people (by applying the pressure of persuasion, coercion and/or manipulation), and conform to the status quo (by submitting to apathy, passivity & mediocrity), …. rather than conforming to God (by submitting to His authority and purpose), influencing people (by accurately reflecting God’s person, precepts and power), and changing the status quo (by living courageously and taking the initiative to do what is requisite and right) …. 🤔💭🧐
