The journey of life is too long to assume that one good meal or occasional bouts of binge eating will suffice and sustain to go the distance. Yesterday’s five-course meal cannot provide the energy for tomorrow’s five-mile race, nor will a sporadic or sparse diet supply the strength to withstand a serious health attack or support any great exertion required along the way.
Another goal is thus to help stir up your passion & appetite for the Word! God’s Word is the breakfast of champions; fine dining for all who want to attain the very best of all God offers! It nourishes and bulks up your spirit to attain marvelous heights & feats in life (Ez 2:8 – 3:4; Jer 15:16; Matt 4:4; 1 Pet 2:5; Heb 5:12-14; 2 Tim 2:15; 3:15; 1 Tim 4:15).
Just as food must be ingested for an individual to enjoy all its nourishing benefits, so also must the Word be imbibed to glean from it; no one can eat and be nourished on another’s behalf. Pastors and teachers can share valuable insights, but personal ingestion and application are necessary to receive the revelation, strength & empowerment it contains for successful living.
